Which Lift Kit is Better, Rough Country or Superlift?

Table of Contents

It seems that Rough Country is always pitted against Superlift in the market.

However, Rough Country and Superlift are both well-respected brands of lift kits, so it can be hard to decide which one you should buy.

The best way to find out which kit is better for you is by looking at the key features of each kit and deciding what they have to offer.

This blog post will compare Rough Country vs Superlift Lift Kits and discuss which one would be a better choice for your truck!

Rough Country vs Superlift

Rough County is a respected brand that has made its name by providing quality lift kits at an affordable price.

RC offers some of the lowest prices on great products, making it hard to make up your mind which kit you should choose.

On the other hand, Superlift has been in business for over 40 years, which is a testament to the quality of workmanship and durability.

Superlift delivers excellent products at an affordable price as well, so you can’t go wrong with either one!

If you have to decide between Superlift or Rough Country, we would say SuperLift is the better option.

Rough County and Superlift are both known for their good-quality products, but RC typically has a much lower price.

However, SL offers more options that RC does not have, including front-end kits, extended brake lines & brackets, along with other accessories you might need!

In our opinion, it’s best to go with Rough Country if you’re on a budget, or perhaps it’s your first lift kit, and you are experimenting with upgrading your truck; but Superlift is better long term.

We think that Superlift provides a slightly higher quality lift kit compared to Rough Country.

This is common among a number of forums who’s have both, and are comparing the two (Read more here).

The RC kit has a lot lower entry price point, but it only comes with relocation brackets for both track bars, where the super lift has an adjustable track bar in the front.

However, the Rough Country comes with a drop pitman arm and steering stabilizer in many models; you don’t see this from every vendor.

Rough County is a hard sell for us because they don’t offer much in terms of front-end lift kit or custom steering components like SuperLift does.

However, rough County has earned its place in the market for being a budget-friendly kit.

That’s not saying Rough Country doesn’t offer some great products, but the general feedback from many customers who have tried both believe that SuperLift is of better quality.

Rough Country is not known for being a premium or expensive brand lift kit in most cases, but they offer some 4″ list around $1000 and 6″ kits over $1400.

Additionally, you can pick up entry-level kits for under $200 (AF Link).

Both brands have good customer service, so if there are any issues with build or you need some help, Rough County and Superlift will both be able to give you the necessary support.

Rough Country vs Superlift – Which Would We Pick?

Rough country or Superlift

If we were to pick between a Rough Country vs Superlift, we would go with SuperLift.

Superlift typically has a better design, build quality, and its reputation seems superior to Rough Country.

Superlift just about edges out Rough Country in ride quality; but both are simply entry-level. If you are looking for something higher-end more advanced I would consider something else.

Rough Country does have a reasonable price point on some of the kits, but it’s usually for their cheapest models, which are not known to be premium quality.

That’s not to say they don’t have many happy customers, because they do.

There have 100’s of 4/5 star reviews on Amazon where customers are raving about RC’s products.

You can check them out HERE.

These excellent reviews are about RC’s are hard to ignore.

Rough County is a hard sell for us because they don’t offer much in terms of front-end lift kit or custom steering components like SuperLift does.

However, rough County has some grand entry and budget level lift kits to choose from.

SuperLift might be slightly more expensive than Rough Country, but we think it is the better of the two when pitted against each other.

We hope this article has helped you decide between Rough Country or SuperLift kits and which one is best for you.
