Our Team

Jim Patterson is our website’s resident Senior Automotive Technician and Reviewer, bringing a wealth of hands-on, blue-collar experience to our readers. Growing up in a small town in Michigan, Jim was introduced to the world of cars at a very young age. His father owned a local mechanic shop, and it was there that Jim developed his love and understanding for all things automotive.

After high school, Jim decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, enrolling in a reputable vocational school where he received his certification in Automotive Technology. Over the next two decades, Jim honed his skills in various garages and dealerships across the country, working on everything from family sedans to high-performance sports cars.

As our Senior Automotive Technician and Reviewer, Jim brings a unique and invaluable perspective to our content. He specializes in DIY repair guides, maintenance tips, and car reviews from a mechanic’s point of view. Whether you’re an at-home DIYer or an experienced mechanic, Jim’s insights, tips, and tricks are sure to help you understand cars better.

You can call him Tom

Thomas Garcia, known fondly as Tom, is our resident expert in classic car restoration. Growing up in Los Angeles, Tom developed a passion for classic cars as a child, often attending car shows and parades with his father. His first project was restoring a 1965 Mustang at the age of 16, a car that he still owns and treasures today.

Following high school, Tom attended a vocational school where he learned the finer points of automotive repair and restoration.

In 2022, Tom joined our website as one of the main writers. While his passion is classic cars, he can write about any car topic under the sun. Although, he’ll still be daydreaming of Aston Martins.
